What about cat boarding choices, and what is best for your cat?

Holidays, vacations, taking a break - whatever we call it - our cats are unlikely to share our idea of the perfect holiday destination.

You’d love to take your cat with you but that isn’t always a realistic choice.

So what can you do? These are some of your options:

• Friends, family or neighbours can stop by to feed your cats in your home. Also in this section have a look at our handy checklist to make sure you haven't overlooked anything!
• Cat boarding (cattery in the UK) where your cats can have their own holiday (but closer to your home) with self contained, safe, comfortable full board accommodation. • Cat sitters, where a commercial company with employees either live in or visit your home to feed and care for your Siamese cats.
• Pet Friendly vacations? Take your Siamese cats with you? Although not usually practical, it is possible and you might design you holiday around your cats.You would not be the first!

TIP: Please sort it out early. My cattery owner friend in the UK is fully booked months in advance, and Christmas is booked from the previous year! Leaving it till the last minute will push you into a compromise, and the last thing you want is to worry about the wellbeing of your cat, while you laze under the palm tree.
